EDITOR:

We are coming upon Election Day, when the citizenry of Bernardsville have both the right and the choice to decide who will lead us in the running of our home town. I believe we need a change in both the attitude and priorities of our elected officials. That is why I am voting for Joe Rossi and John McCrossan for Bernardsville Council.

Over the past few years, having been involved in several local issues - courtesy busing and tsunami relief - I have come to meet many town residents who truly care about this community, such as Joe and John, and I believe electing them to our council would be in our best interests.

In the past year, our Board of Education and school administration have made policies that have created both controversy and conflict in our community. As a parent attending these meetings, I remember distinctly that Joe Rossi was the only member of the council to show up and voice his support for our concerns and opinions. Many times over the course of this busing issue, when I felt the school board was not listening, I felt that Joe was. To me he epitomized the meaning of a true public representative.

That is why I have to vote for Joe and John, because they fully understand the meaning of public service and personal integrity.

Please join me in bringing back the real meaning of a public representative to Bernardsville and vote for Joe Rossi and John McRossan.
