EDITOR:
We are writing this letter to endorse
the candidacy of John McCrossan and
Joe Rossi for Borough Council. We feel
that John and Joe will represent the
community’s interests and bring
a fresh, businesslike approach to Bernardsville
politics.
We are in favor of many of the platforms
that John and Joe are running on.
- Education. McCrossan and Rossi have
been ardent supporters of public education
and for each of the recent school
referendums. John’s son currently
attends Bernardsville Middle School.
- Tax equity. We believe that John
and Joe will ensure that everyone
in town pays their fair share of taxes.
By ensuring that this happens, the
town can free up funds for desperately
needed recreational facilities and
ease the burden on Bernardsville’s
senior citizens.
- Professionalism. We are confident
that the team of McCrossan and Rossi
will bring a professional approach
to the town council. Many of us have
grown tired of the petty bickering
over trivial matters that has dominated
much of the borough council’s
deliberations in recent years. John,
who recently retired as a senior executive
at Citibank, and Joe, a successful
entrepreneur, will bring a business
discipline to Bernardsville politics
that is sorely needed.
- Integrity. We have known John for
as long as we have lived in Bernardsville
and have personally benefited from
his dedication to the Somerset Hills
Little League as a coach and Board
member. We know Joe through his active
support of the Bernardsville Home
and School Association and his action-oriented
approach to issues confronting the
town council. We know that both John
and Joe have the best interests of
the town at heart and will make the
tough decisions that are needed for
Bernardsville to live up to its true
potential.
Elect John McCrossan and Joe Rossi
to borough council. They won’t
let you down.
